Overview

Automated negotiation between intelligent agents is an important research field in multi-agent systems, and one that grows more relevant as intelligent agents spread. Research in the area has a long history extending back to the 1980s. This tutorial introduces the field in general — providing an overview of established results and focusing on open challenges — and introduces two research platforms used to tackle them: Genius and NegMAS.
